Our People

We live and breathe our youth-led drive for development.

Here are just a few of the young people who have stepped up to the development table through their work with Restless Development in Uganda.

Assistant Programme Coordinator

"I started working for Restless Development as an intern 3 years ago, supporting volunteers and coordinating a gender and development programme. As an Assistant Programme Coordinator, I’m now leading the roll-out of the dance4life programme across 50 schools in Uganda.

This organisation is so positive about everything! We aren’t the biggest, but we are so proud of what we do. Whatever it may be, there is always a positive message behind it. I’ve always had the opportunity to better myself. Over time you work on getting better and better and Restless Development allows you to do that."

Assistant Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator

"One of the highlights of my job is developing partnerships. I love engaging with different partners and learning about new strategies. Uganda has a five-year strategic plan, which I find really exciting. It revolves around partner support and looking at partnerships more strategically. It is a really diverse and fun area to work in, and I am always learning from it, which is one thing I love about my job.

I also love all aspects of fundraising. My role is to be the moneymaker and everything relies on you. I like the pressure and the fact that you have to be creative and innovative with your donors and partners."
