Partner Organisations

We work in partnership with other organisations internationally and within our countries of operation to increase support and leadership opportunities for young people.  Organisations we partner with a wide range of organisations from government ministries and agencies to Community Based Organisations to International NGOs and regional entities.

The MTV Staying Alive Foundation gives grants to small youth-led projects around the world that focus on HIV and AIDS awareness and prevention. The majority of these projects have only recently become operational, perhaps a few years or even less. Consequently, there is a need for capacity building among their staff.

In partnership, Restless Development and the Staying Alive Foundation are working together to build the capacity of youth-led organizations globally. After a successful pilot-year that reached organizations in 50 countries, we are pleased to announce that the Staying Alive Foundation has agreed to continue the project for 2010/11.

DFID recently partnered with us to produce a guide to youth participation. Restless Development led the DFID-CSO Working Group on Youth in the development of a guide aimed at development agencies and policy makers, which:

  • Highlights the evidence base for youth participation, using Case Studies from across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean
  • Focuses on Governance, Voice and Accountability; Post Conflict Transitions and Livelihoods; and Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights.
  • Provides strategies and standards for involving young people in organisational development, policy and planning, programme implementation, and monitoring and evaluation.
