Global Citizenship

Restless Development believes every young person can be a global citizen:

"[an individual] who learns from the experience of others around the world, has an awareness of issues facing all countries, and who puts that learning into action"

Did you know that 1.4 billion of us still live in poverty worldwide?

We know that young people play a leading role in creating the change the world needs to achieve the Millennium Development Goals.

We enable young people to respond to global development issues, and to take global action against poverty. In the UK:

  • We run dance4life, a worldwide project which supports young people to lead, inspire and educate those around them to push back HIV and AIDS.
  • We are a founding organisation of the Student Stop AIDS Campaign, over 30 university societies that inform, educate, and advocate to ensure universal access to HIV prevention, treatment, care and support.
  • We bring together Advocates for Action, young volunteers working to ensure that all young people can access accurate information about their sexual and reproductive health and rights.

By working closely with schools, universities, donors, policy makers, and young people themselves, we support young people to put their learning about development issues into action.
