Advocacy and Campaigns

Today's generation of young people is the largest in history. Over 3 billion people - half of the world's population - are under the age of 25.

Restless Development believes that national governments, donor agencies, the private sector and civil society need to take action on the issues young people face. Together, we must enable young people to play a meaningful role in the development of their communities, countries and the world.

Restless Development is working at a national, regional and international level to:

  • Contribute to policy development, ensuring that young people have a voice and that youth issues are included
  • Provide assistance to influential aid institutions – building their knowledge and capacity on youth issues and on how to work with and for young people
  • Facilitate and coordinate mission-aligned civil society organisations to advocate together on common issues

In addition, we are one of the founding partners of the Student Stop AIDS Campaign. Through activities such as informing, educating, lobbying and demonstrating, over 30 university societies are working to ensure that the developed world lives up to its promises to deliver universal access to HIV prevention, treatment, care and support.

We also bring together Advocates for Action, a group of young volunteers working to ensure that all young people access accurate information about their sexual and reproductive health and rights.
